June 20 (Bloomberg) — Admiration and respect can be tricky intangibles, especially when they are gained or relinquished in 90-minute referendums. The U.S. soccer team was, by the players own admission, embarrassed in its World Cup opener, a 3-0 collapse to the Czech Republic.
